Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Postal Service first learned about the operation during a 2016 investigation into the large-scale smuggling of various controlled substances from Europe into the U.S. via mail. On April 7, 2016, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized two inbound packages at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, court documents state. Authorities found 1,000 “Red Supreme” ecstasy pills in each package. One of the packages was addressed to 38-year-old Kenneth Howard in Chelsea and the other was addressed to 31-year-old Jennifer Petitjean in Bessemer.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and U.S. Postal inspectors were contacted. Authorities said ALEA and the inspectors arranged controlled deliveries of the packages. Those deliveries led to subsequent controlled deliveries of the drugs to Howard’s cousin, 28-year-old Kevin Pederson, and to Ochle, who was identified as the leader of the drug-trafficking organization.
In the seizure, 20,000 pressed ecstasy pills and four pounds of crystal molly were found. They all pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute MDMA and are awaiting sentencing. With the exception for Howard who received eight weekends in custody.

She detailed her struggles of being in her 40’s and trying determine her identity. She said, “and in each of those decades, there’s been a time where I’ve tried to say, ‘Hey, I think I’m transgender!’ This was even before that word existed.”
Russom has identified “along the feminine spectrum,” and her band mates are in full support. “The general feeling in the group is that will make the band better.”
Russom also told Grindr that she has struggled with her gender identity all her life but although she didn’t identify as trans before, she has always been an advocate for transgender rights. “I am someone who has spoken out on both women’s rights and trans rights for a long time,” Russom said, “but when I started to transition myself, that was one of the most shocking things.
She also had some aid for to those struggling with gender identity issues. “For anybody who is struggling with their gender identity or who wants to come out and is afraid to, what would be better than giving someone permission to do that through my performance? That’s the ultimate. It’s what other people gave to me, so I’d love to pass that along to other people, too.”
She is best known for her part in the electro-rock band, LCD Soundsystem, based out of Brooklyn, NY. She has been in the band since 2010.
She spoke highly of the punk rock club scene in New York. Being able to view the city’s clubs as a place where transgender people could be open and free.
“It gives me hope for the future to see the courage and creativity of a much younger generation of trans women,” Russom told Grindr. “Clubs are where I’ve encountered a lot of that.”
